It has been a while since I updated Kenzie's progress. Most of you kow she is doing real well. We finally got a TAOS walker for her and she is getting the hang of it. She is getting stronger every day. We are still competing in beauty pageants as much as we can. She still holds several titiles. She will be competing in the Miss Purple Day pageant on March 25th. Wish us luck. Kenzie is doing great in school. She is learning to write and identify objects. We learned in Florida this past summer when we went to Ability Plus Therapy for her treatments that my baby girl can spell her name as well as other things. She uses a pointer to do this. She is also learning to feed herself and doing extremely well with it. God has really blessed our family with this precious angel and I thank God for her every day. She is truly an Angel sent by God to take care of us. Well I guess I am getting off now. Timothy has hmeschooling to get done but I will update more often. Today has been a very busy day. I started making little girls hairbows to sell. I finished my website and still have some more hairbows to add. Sorry it has been a while but Kenzie is absolutely doing amazing. She is starting to sit up by herself all the time. She gets up on her hands and knees. She is not crawling yet but gettng real close. Kenzie is an amazing little girl and alot of joy tp be around. She had therapy today and did great. We love her therapist. She has make remarkable gains since attending Ace Therapy Services.

SHe recently won Young Miss Kennesaw and Junior Miss Carroll County. This coming up Saturday, she is competing in Belles and Beaus of the South Pageant and then next saturday she is competing in Miss Georgia Girl pageant in Dallas. We can't wait for both. McKenzie's life consists of doctors, therapy and needles so when she has a chance to dress up and for one day forget about her disability, you better believe we are going to do it. I want my daughter to have some joy in her life and I want her to have fun. Pageants give her the same opportunity as any other little girl and she has a blast. Well go to go cook dinner now. Sorry it has been a while since my last post. It has been a crazy year. We went to Florida over the summer for Kenzie's therapy and oxygen treatments. I went really well. I will post pics on here real soon. We moved to Paulding County a couple of months ago. Kenzie started a new school and is doing great. Her teachers are awesome. Kenzie is starting to put a few words together. She says "I did it" and the other night she said "I uh ooh" Which I  interpreted as I love you. She is really pushing her self up to sit and trying to bear weight on her legs. Well I got to go. I homeschool my son Timothy and we have to get to work. Sorry it has been a while since I posted a blog. We have had so much going on. Kenzie is doing great. She attends therapy every Tuesday and absolutely loves it. Please come out and support her as she enters the Miss Cobb county pageant in February. Check out the upcoming fundraiser page for all the details and for other fundraisers we have in the works. Kenzie is really trying to talk and she ehas her own little personality. We are looking to go to Florida for the whole summer for continual treatments. Kenzie's daddy will be staying here because he has to work. He may go with us for 1 week. We hope to be able to stay and get alot of therapy in, that is why we are on a fundraiser mission. Sorry it has been a while since I gave an update, but we have been real busy. Kenzie and I have been doing pageants for a couple of months now and we really enjoy it. Kenzie won first runner up and prettiest eyes in the Miss Cherokee Liberty pageant on Saturday May 17th. We were so excited. She looked so beautiful. Her next pagenat will be on June 8th in Kennesaw. We are entering the mother/daughter competition. It will be alot of fun. Kenzie is doing great. She turned 6 last month and had a wonderful birthday party. Cinderella came and Kenzie was her little helper. She had the best time. McKenzie is also doint great in school. She is getting stronger everyday. Well that is all for now. We had our annual mito kids Christmas party on Saturday. We had a great time. Santa was there to hand out gifts to all the kids. Kenzie loves Santa. She can't take her eyes off of him. We had a chance to visit with the other families. It was a wonderful day of fellowship with friends who understand your day to day struggles. It was a day that kids can be kids and they had a blast. The kids made crafts, we ate and got pictures with Santa. Mama D and Pap D are very special people. I appreciate them so much for taking an interst in mitochondria. I don;t know what we would do without them. I am so happy to have them in our lives. They are a true blessing to my whole family. About Kenzie, she is doing amazing. Dan noticed on Saturday that her coordination was real good. She is getting stronger everyday and she follows commands like take the ball and throw it to me. Well she pushes it instead of throwung it but close enough. She says hi all the time. That is her new word. Well I got to go. I will keep updated on her progress. Thanks for visiting and God Bless.

Sorry it has been a while. I will try to update regurly. Kenzie is doing great. She says hi when you talk to her. The first time she said hi to me, I broke down in tears. Her progress has been slow but she is definitely making amazing progress. She really tries to talk. It is so cute. Now when I try to give her a sippy cup and she doesn't want it, she pushes it away to let me know she doesn't want it. That is progress right there. She use to just turn her head when she didn't want something. She is really using her hands alot more. She still gets hippo therapy and absolutely loves riding a horse. She has her very own pink helmet. Well I have more exciting news. I take her once a year to Greenville, S.C. to the Shriners hospital for her hip and spine X-ray. Last year there was a 33 % Subluxation in her right hip. We just got back last week and now that has reduced to 20% which means it is definitely improving and most importantly NO SURGERY. Praise the Lord for that. Well I guess I am going to go now. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Mito Kids Christmas Party. Thanks for visiting and God Bless!!!!

Kenzie is doing great in school. She loves riding the bus and loves her teacher. Her big brother Timothy is in 5th grade. He goes in Kenzi't class and checks on her every single day. He looks out for his little sister. Let me say Kenzie has a great week at school. She tee teed in the potty for the very first time. I was so excited when her teacher told me. That is a very big step for Kenzie. She will be starting her suit therapy in october and also her oxygen treatments. Kenzie has made tremendous progress due to this treatment and will continue to make progress. Well thanks for visiting and I will keep her progress posted.
